St. Xavier’s school follows admission principles as mentioned below:
We give admissions to boys & girls regardless of caste, creed, or religion (nondiscrimination).
Admission is subject to school regulations + government norms.
The school reserves the right to refuse applications, presumably if they don’t meet criteria or if seats are full.
Admission usually happens at the beginning of the academic year. Midyear admissions are rare or only if seats are vacant.
For lower classes (Jr. & Sr. KG etc.), age limits are prescribed.
As per the latest admissions (202526) under NEP2020:
Grade / Section
DOB Range
Age Completed
Senior K.G
02062021 to 01062022
4 years
Balvatika (BalVatikā)
02062020 to 01062021
5 years
First Standard (Std 1)

So, students must satisfy uniform age criteria for these intake levels.
For higher classes, there may be entrance tests / written exams.
Transfer Certificate (Leaving Certificate) is needed if the student has been to another school. If the previous school is from another state, the certificate should be countersigned by the Educational Inspector of that state.
Applications are only via forms available at the school.
There are rules of age, conduct, ability that the applicant must meet.
For fresh admissions, a copy of the original Birth Certificate is required.
Admissions to Higher Secondary are granted strictly on the basis of merit, as determined by GSHEB Board examination results.
There are usually fees, payable quarterly or yearly, and there are rules for late payment, penalties etc
