Academics at St. Xavier’s School, Gandhinagar

At St. Xavier’s School, Gandhinagar, academic excellence is at the heart of our mission. Rooted in the Jesuit tradition of education, we provide a rigorous, value-based academic experience that fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and moral integrity.

Curriculum Overview

We offer a structured and comprehensive academic programme from Kindergarten to Standard XII, under the guidance of highly qualified and experienced educators. The school follows the curriculum prescribed by the Gujarat State Education Board (GSEB) in High School and prepares students for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations.
To cater to the needs of our diverse student body, we offer instruction in both English and Gujarati mediums. English is also taught as an additional language in the Gujarati medium, ensuring students develop strong communication skills in both local and global contexts.

Academic Framework

  • Pre- Primary School (Jr. & Sr. K.G): Emphasis is placed on foundational skills in language, numeracy, and environmental awareness, along with character-building through moral and value-based education.
  • Primary School (Std. I to VIII): A well-balanced programme of core academic subjects and co-curricular enrichment prepares students for board examinations and personal development.
  • High School & Higher Secondary (Std. IX–XII): Students can pursue specialised streams after their 10th in Science or Commerce, supported by modern laboratories, career guidance, and academic counselling.

Academic Excellence

St. Xavier’s has a long-standing reputation for producing excellent academic results, with students consistently achieving high scores in the board examinations. Our commitment to quality education is reflected in our outstanding pass percentages, subject distinctions, and the success of our alumni in higher education and professional fields.

Holistic Learning Environment

We believe true education extends beyond the classroom. Our academic programme is enriched with co-curricular activities, including debates, quizzes, Olympiads, and cultural events, designed to develop confidence, leadership, and collaborative skills. Regular assessments, project-based learning, and remedial support ensure that every student is guided toward success.

In keeping with the Jesuit ethos, our academic vision is not only to inform, but to transform. We aim to nurture students who are not only knowledgeable but also responsible, compassionate, and ethical contributors to society.
